Eldon Fields

As Vice President of Operations, Eldon Fields is responsible for company operations, which includes IT Infrastructure and Data Security, as well as Business Logistics and Operational Support. His 13 years of experience in Health Care and IT ensure that advocates, patients, and health plans have systems and tools which are easily accessible, reliable and secure, while meeting or exceeding HIPAA standards. His 15 years in finance enable him to be a good steward in purchasing and managing resources and supplies required to keep the program operating smoothly.

Previously Eldon served as a Managing Consultant at IBM, leading large projects for some of the  largest health insurance providers in the nation.

Before then, Eldon was the Manager of Software QA and Testing for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. He assured alignment with the business needs and led his team in preparing the strategy and approach for verifying and validating the conversion from ICD-9 to ICD-10 using standard BCBST software test tools for test development, test management, and metric collection and impact evaluation.

Other roles held by Eldon include: Quality Assurance Manager at emids Technology – managing multiple projects and locations, QA Manager at Healthways – ensuring timely execution and delivery of projects for over 60 health plan client companies, and Network Administrator/Assistant Controller at Shiloh Industries.

Through his career, Eldon has developed and utilized his expertise in areas such as Change Management, Process Improvement, Project Management, Staff Development and training, Cross-Functional Leadership, Business Design Analysis, Strategic Development,IT Management, System Development Life Cycle, Software Quality Assurance, Agile/SCRUM methodologies, ICD-10 Validation/Verification, and Business Requirements Creation.

Eldon received his Bachelors in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.  Eldon has lived in the Middle Tennessee area for the last 25 years.   He is a father of three daughters with three grandchildren, when he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
