We agree with Johann’s sentiment in this video that, “The opposite of addiction isn’t sobriety. The opposite of addiction is connection.” Siloed treatment plans will only get us so far. In study after study, today’s research shows that new ways of engaging patients and treating patients are needed—that we have to start combining the best medical care with the best social and behavioral health approaches. We’re taking that research and applying it to a wide range of populations that are hard to identify, engage and treat.
